Drawing Us Together - NAIDOC Week 2020
To recognise NAIDOC Week 2020, Lake Macquarie Square partnered with Sylvia Lockyer, a WA Pilbara indigenous author and local schools to create a 12-page children’s story book based around social cohesion and community.
When the story was complete, Lake Macquarie Square submitted the content of the book to the participating schools who were asked to design the illustrations that would feature on each page.
Students from Eleebana Public School, Windale Public School, Mount Hutton Public School and West Wallsend Public School all submitted a beautiful range of illustrations from students in Kindergarten to Year 6. The artworks were then put on display in the September/October school holidays and the public were asked to lodge their votes for their favourite illustration.
With the voting now complete, we are thrilled to present final edition of our completed book titled, Pindan Dream Princess. The read and view the Pindan Dream Princess please click here
